VACANCY

Position: Semi – Skilled

Advert Ref: SS/01/Jan/2025 (This reference is to be stated in the Subject of your job application email)

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Assist technician by performing duties that requires minimum skill.
  • Perform the basic tasks of material handling, jobsite preparation and housekeeping, loading and delivering materials using a variety of tools and machines and maintenance of tools and equipment, and general labour.
  • Assists technicians on projects or independently performs more routine work.
  • Dig trenches and excavations by use of hand tools and power equipment under general supervision.
  • Assist in underground conduit installation.
  • Assist in mounting, securing, and installing electrical raceways, fixtures, and systems.
  • Assist in wire pulling procedures.
  • Assemble pre-fabricated systems under general supervision.
  • Understand and follow jobsite directions and instructions, both written and verbal.
  • Understand/Perform other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisors.
  • Perform all tasks in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Must be citizen or permanent resident of Brunei Darussalam.
  • Secondary Education preferably with 1-2 years of experience

Position: Instrument Technician

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Responsible in Electrical troubleshooting, repairs and installation assigned by the supervisors with minimum supervision.
  • Able to read and understand technical drawing e.g. P&ID, termination details, instrument Location Drawing, manuals and other complex drawings.
  • Able to use hand tools to remove, decontaminates, disassembles, cleans and replace defective parts from the system. Able to lubricate instruments and replace defective wiring and tubing.
  • To perform fault finding and diagnostic in the construction and commissioning of on-line process instrumentation in the field of Electronics/Electrical and Pneumatics.
  • Carry out pipe/tube fitting, cable termination, barrier glands and wiring to good industrial standards and good craftsmanship
  • Install conduits, cable trays, junction boxes and pulls wire from the instrument to junction box and to Marshalling Cabinet.
  • Remove defective instruments from system, decontaminates, disassembles, and cleans instruments, and replaces defective parts, using hand tools.
  • Reassembles instruments and replaces instruments in system, using hand tools.
  • Lubricates instruments and replaces defective wiring and tubing.
  • Installs transmitters and its designated tubing base on the approved hook-up drawings.
  • Performs preventative and regulatory required maintenance, inspections and calibrations on station and pipeline instrumentation.
  • Perform pre-loop checking from the instrument, junction boxes and up to Marshalling Cabinets.

Requirements:

  • Possessed HNTEC/National Diploma or C & G (Parts I and II) or equivalent in relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years practical instrumentation working experience in wiring of HV/LV control systems,  Installations of Protection Relays and CT’s and Explosion Proof Equipment.
  • Able to communicate and write in English

Position: Electrical Technician

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Responsible in Electrical troubleshooting, repairs and installation assigned by the supervisors with minimum supervision.
  • Able to read and understand technical drawing, manuals, standard specification, codes & in the respective trade.
  • Able to read single line diagram and complex drawings.
  • Able to use the correct testing devices when conducting electric system and continuity of circuits test in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures to ensure compatibility and safety system.
  • To perform fault finding and diagnostic.
  • Working experienced in the Installation of junction boxes, distribution boards, switchboard, UPS equipment and other electrical panels.
  • Have knowledge of and worked with thyristor drive systems
  • Familiar with industrial electronic control system associated with generators, motors, battery charges and protection devices.
  • Has been performing a range of ‘Work at Height’ tasks such; installation of bolted type cable ladder/tray support, installation of conduit/cable tray/ladder, cable laying/removal, cable dressing /cable glanding, termination & disconnection and other work at height related.
  • Working knowledge and experience on power generation; able to assist switching, earthing and isolation on LV switch gear and associated electrical/electronic equipment.
  • Assembles, installs, tests and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
  • To assume responsibility, prioritize and respond to multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions.
  • To perform tests on electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

Requirements:

  • Possessed HNTEC/National Diploma or C & G (Parts I and II) or equivalent in relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years practical Electrical working experience in in electrical and control systems, construction, testing, commissioning or maintenance including repair and rewinding of Electrical motors.
  • Able to communicate and write in English
